HARROGATE, Tenn. - The LMU Men's Tennis Team played Belmont Abbey College on Saturday, February 15th. The team bounced back from their loss against Charleston University and took down Belmont Abbey 4-1. 

The team would have swept the doubles with ease, gaining the doubles point. Flying through the opponents was Harper Mills and Sergio Boneta Aranzeta who beat their opponents 6-2 at No. 2 doubles. Having a close match at No. 3 doubles was Ethan Hirons and Radu Florea who stayed on top, winning 7-5. With another nail-biting match at No. 1 doubles was Alexandru Giurea and Hugo Ruiz Espejo. They would have barely slipped away with a win of 7-6 (4). 

After securing the doubles point, Alexandru Giurea at No. 2 singles would have stolen another point for the Railsplitters by beating his opponent 6-1, 6-1. With another definitive win was Harper Mills at No. 1 singles who won 6-3, 7–5.

Sergio Boneta Aranzeta, No. 4 singles, would have fallen to his opponent 2-6, 2-6. Securing the match for the Railsplitters was Ethan Hirons who bested his opponent 7-5, 6-3. Radu Florea and Kai Miyatake would have their matches go unfinished. 

The Railsplitters will be playing again February 21-23. The team will play against Montreat College on Friday, February 21st at 3:00 PM. They will then come back the next day and play North Greenville University on Saturday, February 22nd at 12:30 PM. To conclude their weekend they will play a double header on Sunday, February 23rd. That Sunday they will play against King University and Davis & Elkins College. All matches will be played at home, at the Indoor Tennis Facility.
