Harrogate, TN - One week after clinching the home opening conference series victory in game three against Limestone, the Lincoln Memorial baseball team will be back on the diamond Sunday in Wise, VA for its first conference road series of the season against the UVA-Wise Cavaliers. The Railsplitters enter the series with a 6-5 overall record, including a 2-1 mark in conference play. The Cavaliers enter the series with an overall record of 12-2, including a 2-1 mark in conference play. Lincoln Memorial is currently sixth in the SAC standings and UVA-Wise is one spot ahead, at fifth, in conference standings.

Kasten Harvey leads the Railsplitters in the box with 12 hits on the season, including three home runs, good for fifth in the conference. Harvey is currently averaging a 2.93 batting average with a 1.117 OPS. Ford Hallock has the best current batting average for Lincoln Memorial, batting .423 thus far on the season with a 1.146 OPS with nine RBI in 11 hits. Archer Wong-Shasteen is batting .279 with a .583 OPS and has driven in five runs on 12 hits. Alex Kowalski and Sam Mast lead the team with 11 and 10 RBI respectively, each adding nine hits. Mast also has two home runs on the season and Kowalski has one.

Colin Murphy and Eli Edds lead the Railsplitters from the bump. Edds leads the way with 17 punchouts on the year and Murphy follows closely with 16. Muprhy allows a .207 opponent batting average while Edds allows a .295 average per game. Through 14.2 IP, Murphy has allowed 12 hits, 11 runs, and seven earned runs with nine walks and 16 strikeouts. Through 15 IP, Edds has allowed 18 hits, eight runs, and eight earned runs with four walks and 17 strikeouts.

With inclement weather in the region, the series was moved from Friday/Saturday to Sunday/Monday. Sunday will be a double-header with game one beginning at 1 PM. Game two will follow at 4 PM. The third and final game of the series will be played on Monday with first pitch slated for 4 PM.
