Harrogate, TN - Three days after dismantling Trevecca Nazarene on Wednesday, the Lincoln Memorial baseball team will travel to Jefferson City, TN on Friday and Saturday for a three game series with the Carson-Newman Eagles. Lincoln Memorial comes into the game with an 8-7 overall record, including a 3-3 mark in conference play. The Eagles are off to their best start in a long time, racking up an overall record of 12-3, with a 5-1 mark in conference play thus far this season.

Kasten Harvey leads the Railsplitters in the box with 21 hits on the season, including a conference-leading seven home runs. Harvey is currently averaging a .362 batting average with a 1.324 OPS. He has driven in 16 runs on the season. He is followed closely in average by Trace Simmons, who is batting a .360 with nine hits, driving in 10 runs. Sam Mast is battin a .283 average with 13 hits, driving in 15 runs. Archer Wong-Shasteen is batting .293 with a .616 OPS and has driven in eight runs on 17 hits. Alex Kowalski leads the team in doubles with six, is batting a .214, and has driven in 13 runs on 12 hits so far this season.

Colin Murphy and Eli Edds lead the Railsplitters from the bump. Edds leads the way with 23 punchouts on the year and Murphy follows closely with 20. Muprhy allows a .190 opponent batting average while Edds allows a .307 average per game. Through 20.2 IP, Murphy has allowed 15 hits, 14 runs, and nine earned runs with 10 walks and 20 strikeouts. Through 22 IP, Edds has allowed 27 hits, 10 runs, and 10 earned runs with seven walks and 23 strikeouts.

First pitch between the Railsplitters and Eagles is slated for 3 PM in Jeffersom City. The teams will take to the mound on Saturday for a double-header, beginning at noon.
