Harrogate, TN - After playing its first five games of the season on the road, the Lincoln Memorial baseball team is slated for a soggy home series this weekend against Quincy University. The three game series is slated to begin on Friday with the first pitch of game one set for 4 PM. Game two is set for 1 PM on Saturday. The third and final game of the series is slated for a noon first pitch on Sunday. Lincoln Memorial enters the game with a 2-3 record after falling to 22nd-ranked Lee on the road Wednesday. The Railsplitters split the season opening series at North Georgia 2-2, including an emphatic seven run comeback in the final game of the series.
Alex Kowalski currently leads Lincoln Memorial in batting with a 1.311 OPS, .421 batting average, .789 SLG% and .522 OB%. Kowalski has driven in eight runs so far this season to lead the team. He has eight hits, including four doubles and one home run.
Sam Mast is averaging a 1.225 OPS, .375 batting average, .813 SLG% and .412 OB%. Mast connected on a pair of homers at North Georgia to help lead the comeback efforts. On the season, Mast have driven in five runs with six hits, including the pair of home runs.
Aiden Carter leads Lincoln Memorial from the bump. He is 1-0 on the season with 6.1 IP, allowing only five hits, one run, one earned, two walks, and five strikeouts. He's allowing an impressive .208 opposing batting average.
