HARROGATE Tenn. - The LMU Women's Tennis Team played Young Harris College tonight, and was able to secure a win for the Railsplitters 4-1.

In the doubles Lucie Palud and Rosalie Carrier-Dulac would fall to the lions 3-6 at No. 1 doubles. At line two doubles, Marta Melnichenok and Alexandra Ortiz would finish off their opponents quickly with a 6-1 win. Capturing the doubles point was Adriana Pellizzari and Mar Garcia who would win 6-2. 

Securing another point for the team was Adriana Pellizzari, No. 2 singles, gave her opponent no chance, winning 6-0, 6-0. Lucie Palud would give a good effort but lost 2-6, 3-6. Alexandra Ortiz would get the Railsplitters closer to victory winning at No. 6 singles 6-3, 6-2. To finish off the night was Rosalie Carrier-Dulac who clinched the match for the team, winning 6-0, 6-4. 

No. 1 singles Marta Melnichenok and No. 5 Mia Rodriguez would both have their matches go unfinished.

The women will be back in action on Friday, February 14th, at 2:00 PM against the University of Charleston, and Saturday, February 15th, at 4:00 PM against Belmont Abbey College. These two matches will be played at home at the Indoor Tennis Facility.
