HARROGATE Tenn. - The LMU Women's Tennis team hosted their first conference match of the season this morning against Anderson University. The Lady Railsplitters would have fallen to the Trojans 3-4. 

Finishing off their opponents quickly at line three doubles was Adriana Pellizzari and Mar Garcia who won 6-1. Finishing next was No. 2 doubles, Marta Melnichenok and Alexandra Ortiz, finishing with a score of 3-6. At No. 1 doubles was Rosalie Carrier-Dulac and Lucie Palud who lost to the Trojans 4-6. 

Starting off the singles strong was No. 6 singles Mar Garcia who destroyed her opponent 6-1, 6-0. Getting another point for the Railsplitters was Rosalie Carrier-Dulac, at No. 3 singles, taking down her opponent 6-1, 6-3. Adriana Pellizzari at No. 2 singles beat her opponent 6-4, 6-2. 

At No. 4 singles was Mann-Ning Li who fought until the very end, but lost 2-6, 5-7. Freshman Mia Rodriguez was at No. 5 singles, and she had a tough battle. Rodriguez finished with a score of 6-4, 1-6, 3-6. Finishing off the day was Marta Melnichenok who played a three set thriller at No. 1 singles. Melnichenok would have finished 7-5, 4-6, 0-6. 

The Railsplitters will play again Thursday, March 6th at home against Lee University.
