Harrogate, TN - One week after taking one of three games on the road at Wingate, the Lincoln Memorial baseball team is slated to back on its home field this weekend, playing host to the ninth-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne Bears in a three-game conference clash. Most recently, the Railsplitters took one of three games in a series with Wingate to move to 17-13 on the season with a 7-8 mark in conference play. The Bears are 25-4 on the season with a 12-4 mark in conference play and are currently riding a six-game heater.
Kasten Harvey leads the team, and is tied for first in the conference, in home runs with 15 on the season. Against Wingate last weekend, Harvey became Lincoln Memorial's all-time leader in career home runs. He is also seventh in the conference in hits, and third in the conference in RBI with 34. He is batting .350 with an .842% SLG% and a 1.298 OPS. In 120 at-bats this season, he has only been struck out 14 times and has connected on 42 hits, including: six doubles, four triples, and 15 homers. He's also added 35 runs on the season.
Archer Wong-Shasteen follows Harvey in hits with 29. He has driven in 15 runs so far this season.
Alex Kowalski has connected on 28 hits this season and driven in 27 RBI.
Brooks Hagedorn,
Sam Mast,
Trace Simmons, and
Chris Hall each have 15 or more RBI on the season. Kowalski is second on the team with 27. Simmons follows with 23 and Mast right behind him with 22, Wong-Shasteen has 15, Hall has 15, and Hagedorn has 15.
Austin Epperson has 12, seeing the Railsplitters with eight batters who have double digit RBI on the season.
First pitch between Lenoir-Rhyne and Lincoln Memorial is slated for 6:00 PM Friday evening at Lamar Hennon Field.
