Harrogate, TN- LMU Softball (24-13, 8-6) will start their week of road games with a doubleheader against Newberry (20-21, 8-6) on Tuesday, April 1st. The games are slated for 1 PM and 3 PM at the Smith Road Complex in Newberry, SC.

Lincoln Memorial saw a series win over #17 Tusculum before dropping the series to Mars Hill this past week. The trio of Hannah McMeen, Anna Kate Reichter, and Hanna Bogoski continue to all hit over .300 on the year alongside on-base percentages also eclipsing .400 by each. Jordann Reagan is also coming off of a solid week, posting a .455/.571/.636 slash line in the four contests which included two doubles and five RBI. The LMU pitching staff holds a collective 3.69 ERA and has had batters average .304 against them. The Splitters as a team have hit .297 and are averaging right around five runs per game. The Splitters are 5-5 on the road this season.

Newberry is coming off a non-conference series win over Erskine this past weekend. Prior to that, they earned the series split at UVA Wise, but have held a 14-10 record in Newberry this season.  The Wolves are hitting .318 as a team this year, their opponents batting .345 against them. Ella Stone, Maddy Staples, and Haidyn Campbell make up the majority of their hitting, all holding over 40 hits this season, Staples with a team-high 19 extra-base hits. Their collective ERA in the circle is 5.77 with only one shutout on the season. Lincoln Memorial holds the series 17-14 between the two programs, splitting the series in-season last year before beating the Wolves again in postseason play.
