Harrogate, TN - Three days after completely dismantling Bluefield State, the Lincoln Memorial baseball team is slated to be back in action on the road in a three-game conference road series at Tusculum beginning on Friday at 4 PM. The Railsplitters improved to 21-17 overall with their over the Big Blue and are currently seeking to make some quick moves ahead of the upcoming conference tournament. Lincoln Memorial is 10-11 in conference action and will play Tusculum on the road, Coker on the road, and 17th-ranked Catawba at home to finish the regular season. The Pioneers enter the weekend series seeking to make some moves of their own at 15-23 overall and 8-13 in conference action. Lincoln Memorial will be seeking revenge for a 2-1 series loss against Tusculum last season.
This weekend's series is a good opportunity for Lincoln Memorial to gain some conference footing and separate from Tusculum, who follows in the standings. Shortstop
Kasten Harvey leads the team, and is tied for second in the conference, in home runs with 16 on the season. He is also seventh in the conference in RBI with 38. He is batting .350 with an .800% SLG% and a 1.251 OPS. In 140 at-bats this season, he has connected on 49 hits, including: seven doubles, four triples, and 16 homers. He's also added 41 runs on the season.
Alex Kowalski is second on the team in hits with 41 on the season, driving in in 37 runs, good for second on the team and eighth in the conference.Â
Trace Simmons leads the team in batting average, batting .380 on the season with 38 hits, including: seven doubles and one triple, to go along with 29 RBI.
Archer Wong-Shasteen has driven in 16 runs this season on 38 hits.
CJ Dugan follows with 34 hits, including three home runs.
Chris Hall and
Brooks Hagedorn have 34 and 29 hits respectively. Hall has added 21 RBI on the season, including five home runs, and Hagedorn has driven in 20.
Sam Mast is batting .290 on the season with an .875 OPS and .365 OBP. He has connected on 29 hits this season and driven in 31 runs.
Eli Edds leads the Railsplitters from the mound. On the season, Edds has allowed 54 hits, 34 runs, and 30 earned runs with 25 walks and 63 strikeouts. His 63 strikeouts rank fifth in the conference. His 10.25 K/9 is good for fifth in the conference as well.
