Baseball headed to Hartsville, SC for weekend series with Coker

Harrogate, TN -- One week after dropping two of three games on the road at Tusculum, the Lincoln Memorial baseball team is slated for its final regular season road series of the year, traveling to Hartsville, SC for a weekend series with the Coker Cobras. The Railsplitters enter the series with a 22-19 overall record, including an 11-13 mark in conference play. The Cobras enter the series with an overall record of 25-18, posting a 13-11 mark in conference play.

This weekend's series is vital to both teams as they vie for conference footing ahead of the quickly approaching South Atlantic Conference Tournament. Shortstop Kasten Harvey leads the team, and is tied for third in the conference, in home runs with 16 on the season. He is also eighth in the conference in RBI with 40. He is batting .333 with a .745% SLG% and a 1.175 OPS. In 153 at-bats this season, he has connected on 51 hits, including: seven doubles, four triples, and 16 homers. He's also added 42 runs on the season. Alex Kowalski is tied for second on the team in hits with 42 on the season, driving in in 38 runs, good for second on the team. Trace Simmons leads the team in batting average, batting .366 on the season with 41 hits, including: seven doubles and one triple, to go along with 32 RBI. Archer Wong-Shasteen has driven in 16 runs this season on 42 hits. Chris Hall follows in hits with 37 on the season, including five homers. CJ Dugan and Brooks Hagedorn have 34 and 31 hits respectively. Dugan has added eight RBI on the season, including three home runs, and Hagedorn has driven in 22. Sam Mast is batting .268 on the season with an .808 OPS and .344 OBP. He has connected on 30 hits this season and driven in 31 runs. Eli Edds and Colin Murphy lead the Railsplitters from the mound. On the season, Edds has allowed 61 hits, 42 runs, and 36 earned runs with 27 walks and 65 strikeouts. Murphy has allowed 64 hits, 38 runs, and 30 earned runs with 20 walks and 47 strikeouts.
