Harrogate, TN- Lincoln Memorial will host Anderson for the first round of the South Atlantic Conference Softball Championship. LMU earned the third seed in the tournament with a 15-9 conference record, matching up with Anderson who is the sixth seed after going 13-11 in conference play. The best of three series will be begin on Saturday at 4 PM with game two and the as needed game three being played on Sunday beginning at 1 PM.

Lincoln Memorial earned the seed after sweeping Wingate in their last regular season series last weekend. Halle Grace Patton earned her 21st victory in the circle and third save of the season in the sweep, making her first in the conference in wins and ERA (2.27), also earning her first-team all-conference honors. The Splitters are hitting .313 as a team with a .397 on-base percentage and a .443 slugging percentage. Hanna Bogoski has been the leader on offense, also earning first-team all-conference honors, hitting .371 with 14 extra-base hits and 30 RBIs. Kristin Griffin is also coming off a successful end to the regular season, hitting .800 and sending her fifth home run of the year over the fence against Wingate. Joining her in homers against the Bulldogs was Nicole Couvertiere, whose .304 average has been key in the lineup this season. 

Anderson earned the sixth spot after sweeping Emory & Henry in their last regular season series, earning the tiebreaker over the Wasps. The Trojans also saw a non-conference series earlier this week, dropping both to Augusta on Tuesday. Their team is hitting .312/.399/.464 on the season. Jenna Davis is the leader in average, batting .371 with 63 hits. In the circle, their ace is Katie Morris, who holds a 2.50 ERA on the season with a 16-9 record. Lincoln Memorial swept the regular season contests between the two programs, earning both wins in a one-run margin of victory.

Game one is slated for 4 PM on Saturday, April 26th, at the Dorothy Neely Softball Complex in Harrogate. Game two is set for 1 PM on Sunday, April 27th, with the as-needed game played following the first on Sunday. The winner of the series will advance to the final four of the conference tournament to be played at the site of the highest remaining seed.
