Harrogate, TN- Lincoln Memorial Softball will begin Championship Bracket play in the SAC tournament on Thursday, May 1st. They'll face the #3 seed Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne in their first game, the start time slated for 1 PM in Wingate, NC.

LMU advances after sweeping Anderson in the opening weekend series. The Splitters are hitting .311 as a team with an on-base percentage of .395 and a .439 slugging percentage. Anna Kate Reichter and Hanna Bogoski lead the team in individual average, both hitting .365 on the year and accounting for over 100 hits and 50 RBI on the season. Hannah McMeen and Nicole Couvertiere are also coming off strong opening weekends, both earning three hits and three RBI apiece in the wins. Halle Grace Patton earned both victories in the circle, improving her win total to 23 on the season and moving to a 2.21 ERA. LMU is 33-16 on the season, going 8-8 in away games and 3-2 in neutral site contests.

Lenoir-Rhyne beat Emory & Henry in the opening weekend to advance to the final site of the tournament. They've posted a .369/.443/.637 slash line on the season as a team. Madison Wilson and Faith Carrigan have taken most of the workload in the circle, holding 16 and 13 wins, respectively, on the season. LR is 33-17 on the year and has gone 8-6 on the road and 0-4 in neutral-site games. Lincoln Memorial and Lenoir-Rhyne split the regular season series in Harrogate, LMU winning the first 7-3 before falling 3-13 in the second. 

Carson-Newman (28-18) will play Wingate (35-19) in the second game on Thursday. The winners of the two contests will play the first game against one another on Friday, with the losers facing off in the second game. The elimination game will be played following that on Friday, the winner moving on to the final two on Saturday with the as-needed to follow.
