Harrogate, TN - There are things in life that transcend sports. Pediatric cancer is one of those things. Pediatric brain cancer is the deadliest disease affecting children in the United States. The Lincoln Memorial baseball team has partnered with the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation for its VS Cancer program. "Started by a pediatric brain cancer survivor and former collegiate athlete, Vs. Cancer makes it easy for any sports team, any athlete, and any community to help kids with cancer. As a signature fundraising program of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Vs. Cancer proceeds fund family support and child life programs in teams' communities, along with lifesaving pediatric brain cancer research." This is a cause that the Railsplitters take very seriously. As well as raising money for the program, members of the baseball team will also be shaving their heads in support of children diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer.
