Box Score WISE, VA - The Lincoln Memorial Women's Tennis team finished another conference match on the road. This was their last conference match on the road. The women played against UVA Wise and swept the Cavaliers 4-0.
The women would have started the match up in the doubles, winning the No. 3 doubles due to default. At No. 2 doubles, Mann-Ning Li and Alexandra Ortiz fell 4-6. Clinching the doubles for doubles point was Adriana Pellizzari and Lucie Palud at No. 1 doubles. The pairing played exceptionally, winning 7-5.
After the doubles, the women would be up 3-0, because of default matches at No. 5 and No. 6 singles. Clinching the match for the day was Rosalie Carrier-Dulac at No. 3 singles. Carrier-Dulac played phenomenally and gave her opponent no chance. She finished with a score of 6-0, 6-1.
No. 2 Adriana Pellizzari, No. 3 Mia Rodriguez, and No. 1 Marta Melnichenok would have their matches go unfinished.
The women will play their next and last conference match on April 12th at 11:00 AM against Lenoir-Rhyne. This will also be senior day for the Lady Railsplitters, and this will be celebrated at 9:45 AM. The match and senior day will be held at the LMU Outdoor Tennis Courts.
