Howie-in-the-Hills, FL- LMU Men's golf currently sits at 8th in the NCAA DII South/Southeast Regional after shooting 291 (+3) on day one. Florida Southern currently holds the lead over the field, shooting a 280 (-8). The top seven teams of the field will advance to Nationals.
Max Reynolds led the way for the Railsplitters, overcoming a double bogey and bogey to start his round, firing seven birdies after that to finish the day with a two-under 70. He currently sits tied for ninth in the field. Jamie Dean and Morgan Cain would both shoot 73 (+1) to tie for 37th, combining for eight birdies on the day. Ian Taggart would round out the official scoring for day one, shooting a 75 (+3) to tie in 62nd. George Durkan posted a four-over 76 on the round, looking to improve the scorecard on day two, still golfing in the #1 position for the Splitters.
