Box Score Dahlonega, GA- LMU would fall to LR today in game one of the NCAA Southeast Regional 1-9.
Jordann Reagan would lead things off for the Splitters, earning a single to advance Hanna Bogoski, who had gotten on via walk in her first at-bat. The push would come up empty, however, keeping the game scoreless through the half-inning. LR would be the one to strike first, finding a few consecutive hits to take advantage of a walk issued and make it 0-2 Bears. LMU would leave another on after Nicole Couvertiere would draw a walk, the Railsplitters still coming up empty through two innings. Neither team would see anything cross in the third, taking the contest to the fourth. Two walks and two hits would make it 0-4 for Lenoir-Rhyne, making the damage 0-8 before LMU could be able to get out of the inning.Â
The Splitters would be forced to score to extend the game, a task Alyssa Williams would start by drawing a walk in the top of the fifth. Cassidy Hack would come on to run for her, advancing to second on a sacrifice bunt from Brianna Baer. Anna Kate Reichter would step in with two outs and find some space in left field for an RBI single, giving LMU their first run of the game. The Bears would hit a home run in the bottom of the sixth to make it 1-9 and end the game after six innings.
Lincoln Memorial will now face Tusculum at 2:30 tomorrow in the elimination game, the winner of that facing the loser of the first between UNG and LR.Â
