Women's Basketball Hosts Carson-Newman Wednesday

Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial women's basketball returns home on Wednesday as they host the Carson-Newman Eagles at 5:30 pm. Wednesday is also Play 4 Kay Night during the women's game. 

The midweek contest will be the 67th overall meeting between the two programs, with Lincoln Memorial falling behind in the series 25-41. Wednesday is also the second time that LMU and C-N have faced each other this season, as they played each other a little less than a month ago on January 14th in Jefferson City, which resulted in a 58-76 LMU loss. The last time that Lincoln Memorial defeated the Eagles in Harrogate was in February of 2025, and the Lady Railsplitters came out on top 69-63.

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 64-52 victory over Wingate on February 7th. Kamil Collier led the team both in scoring and on the boards with 23 points and 10 rebounds for her 14th double double of the season. 

Currently, Collier is leading the team in scoring with 17.4  points per game. Alexa Smiddy and Lexi Patty follow her also with double-digits, as Smiddy is averaging 12.8 points per game and Patty is averaging 12.6. Collier is also the team leader in rebounds with 11 boards per game. 

In the South Atlantic Conference, Collier is leading in double-doubles (13), fourth in field goal percentage (49.8%), second  in field goals made (142), sixth in total points (365), seventh in points per game (17.1), leading in total rebounds (231), leading in rebounds per game (11), leading in defensive rebounds per game (7.2), and leading in offensive rebounds per game (3.8). Smiddy is fourth in the conference in assist/turnover ratio (1.80), third in total assists (79), second in assists per game (3.8), seventh in three pointers made (42), and seventh in three pointers made per game (2.00). Patty is fifth in the SAC in defensive rebounds per game (4.6) and fourth in steals per game (2.16).

Nationally, Collier is sixth in double-doubles, ninth in rebounds per game, 12th in total rebounds, and 18th in defensive rebounds per game. 

As a team, Lincoln Memorial is second in the SAC in assist/turnover ratio (1.07), third in field goal percentage defense (37.2%), leading in scoring defense (56.6), leading in scoring margin (16.1), third in scoring offense (72.7), third in three point percentage (32%), leading in three point percentage defense (26%), first in three pointers made per game (9.1), and first in winning percentage (85.7%).

Nationally, the team is 14th in scoring margin, 6th in three point attempts per game, and 6th in three pointers made per game. 

Carson-Newman is coming off of a 84-76 loss against Anderson on February 7th.

Leaders for the Eagles include Jennifer Sullivan (#24) who averages 18 points per game and Keeleigh Rogers (#34) who leads in rebounds with 7.8 per game. 

Lincoln Memorial is entering Wednesday with a 18-3 overall record, including a 13-3 mark in conference play. LMU tied for second place in the SAC standings wuth Coker. LMU was most recently #21 in the WBCA Coaches' Poll.

Carson-Newman is going into Wednesday with an 16-6 overall record and conference record of 12-4. The Eagles are in third place in the conference standings.
