Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial men's lacrosse team will begin their 2026 season their home opener against the Wheeling University Cardinals Saturday afternoon. 

Saturday's meeting will only be the second time that the two teams have met, with the first meeting being at Wheeling in April of 2025, where the Railsplitters defeated the Cardinals 10-8.

LMU finished last season with a 4-10 overall record and a 1-5 conference record, and Wheeling finished the 2025 season with a 8-7 overall record and a GMAC record of 6-3. 

Lincoln Memorial was selected to finish eighth in the South Atlantic Conference Preseason poll this season, while  Jenson Jones, Koen Burdette, Beckett O'Shea, Domenico Moscato, Connor Blondin, and Lucas Weaver were all identified as players to watch by the conference. 

Wheeling was voted to finish sixth in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Leaders for the Cardinals include Jack Rowe (#11), Owen Worley (#34), and Gage Kimmel (#44).
