Dahlonega, GA – The Lincoln Memorial Women's Tennis team dropped a road match to seventh-ranked North Georgia, with the Nighthawks winning 7-0. The loss pushes the Railsplitters to 4-2 this season.
The Railsplitters were able to give the Nighthawks a fight in doubles play, with the first two pairings of Adriana Pellizzari and Natalia Reimer along with Marta Melnichenok and Lucie Palud battling their opponents in back-and-forth matches.
LMU would pick up one set in singles play, as Reimer took one in an unfinished match out of the third draw. After dropping the opening set, Reimer battled back, drawing the first two points of the set before running away with the final three points. Remier's set win drew the match at 1-1, where it ended with the North Georgia win.
The Railsplitters return home next weekend, facing Coker University on Saturday at 1:30 in a conference match
