Men's Lacrosse Travels to Coker on Saturday

Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial men's lacrosse will have their conference road opener on Saturday, March 14th as they travel to play Coker University in Hartsville, South Carolina at 3:00 p.m. 

The weekend contest will be the 12th overall meeting between the two teams, with Lincoln Memorial trailing the series 4-7. The Railsplitters last won in 2023 at home in a final of 9-5, and are looking for their first win in Hartsville since 2018. 
 
Lincoln Memorial is coming off a heartbreaking 11-12 overtime loss to 16th-ranked Catawba on March 10th. Gavin Reid led the team in points with four for three goals and one assist, and Brixten McKenzie led in ground balls with four and won a team-high 10 face offs. 

 
In the South Atlantic Conference, McKenzie is third in face off winning percentage (64%) and ninth in ground balls per game (4.67). Reid is third in the conference in goals per game (3.33) and eighth in points per game (4). Jenson Jones is sixth in shot percentage (47%). Herman is second in the conference in save percentage (51.4%) and third in Goals Against Average (10.31). 

 
Nationally, McKenzie is 19th in face off winning percentage and Reid is 16th in goals per game.  
 
As a team, Lincoln Memorial is sixth in the SAC in total assists (42), fifth in in clearing percentage (87.3%), second in face-off win percentage (60.5%), fourth in total ground balls (211), fiftin ground balls per game (35.17), fourth in man-up offense (.500), sixth in points (130), sixth in points per game (21.67), second in scoring defense (10.17), third in scoring margin (4.50), and third in scoring offense (14.67). 

 
Nationally, LMU is 18th in face-off win percentage, 23rd in clearing percentage, 26th in ground balls, 10th in man-up offense, 21st in points per game, 22nd in scoring margin, and 15th in scoring offense.  
 
Catawba is 5-2, 1-1 in conference after coming off a 21-9 loss to Wingate on Wednesday. 

 
LMU is going into the weekend with a 4-2 overall record and a 1-1 conference record, and the Railsplitters are tied for fourth place in the conference standings with Catawba and Coker.
