HICKORY, NC - Lincoln Memorial softball continues South Atlantic Conference play on Saturday, March 21, traveling to Lenoir-Rhyne for a doubleheader at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The Railsplitters enter the weekend at 10-16 overall and 2-4 in SAC play after earning a split with Coker on Wednesday. LMU's offense has shown the ability to produce pressure throughout the lineup, batting .283 as a team with 198 hits, 39 doubles, and nine home runs through 26 games while adding 42 stolen bases. Hanna Bogoski leads the way at the plate, hitting .367 with 29 hits and 10 RBI, while Reese Vivrette has been a spark at the top of the order with a team-high 22 runs scored and 30 hits. Hannah McMeen continues to provide extra-base pop, batting .306 with four home runs and a team-best 17 RBI, and Jordann Reagan has been one of LMU's toughest outs with a .448 on-base percentage and 18 walks.
In the circle, Lincoln Memorial will look to carry over the momentum from its most recent conference win, leaning on a staff that has recorded 89 strikeouts in 169.1 innings. Brooke Strickland has logged the most innings at 46.2 with a team-high 38 strikeouts, while Jasmine Kaylor has been the staff's winningest pitcher with three wins and 52.1 innings. Katie Fultz has added four victories, and Aslynn Lupton has provided key innings in both relief and spot starts.
Lenoir-Rhyne enters Saturday 17-5 overall and 2-0 in SAC play, and the Bears have been one of the conference's most complete teams early in the season. LR is batting .312 as a team with 26 home runs, and the pitching staff has been dominant, posting a 1.92 team ERA while holding opponents to a .224 average. Faith Carrigan and Madison Wilson have anchored the staff, combining for strong early-season results as LR has opened conference play with two wins.
Saturday's matchup continues a long-running SAC series. Lenoir-Rhyne holds the overall edge historically, and the Bears have won the last three meetings, including a neutral-site matchup in May 2025. LMU will look to reverse that trend on the road and pick up key conference results against one of the league leaders.
