ANDERSON, SC - Lincoln Memorial softball is right back into South Atlantic Conference action on Tuesday, March 24, traveling to Anderson, S.C. for a doubleheader against Anderson University at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Anderson Softball Field.
LMU enters the day at 10-18 overall and 2-6 in SAC play, looking to climb the conference standings as the season hits the heart of league competition. The Railsplitters have shown they can put pressure on teams offensively, batting .280 as a group with 210 hits, including 40 doubles, 11 home runs, and 125 runs scored. At the top of the lineup, Reese Vivrette continues to set the tone, hitting .340 with a team-high 23 runs, while Hanna Bogoski is batting .354 with 29 hits and 11 walks. In the middle of the order, Hannah McMeen has provided extra-base pop, slugging .543 with nine doubles and four homers, and Kristin Griffin has driven in 16 while adding three home runs of her own.
Anderson (20-6 overall, 6-2 SAC) has been one of the most productive offenses in the league and sits near the top of the conference race. The Trojans are hitting .339 as a team and have scored 184 runs in 26 games. Their lineup features multiple big-bat threats, including Kadence Barrick (.380, 6 HR, 27 RBI) and Carson Hobbs (.370, 11 doubles), with plenty of table-setters around them Shelby Bandt has drawn 34 walks, and Anderson has several hitters with power numbers throughout the order. In the circle, the Trojans bring depth with Katie Morris (2.66 ERA, 72 K) leading the way, supported by Kora Kilgore and Carson Hobbs as additional options.
History says this matchup tends to be tight, but it's also been split down the middle over time LMU and Anderson are 21-21 all-time, and the Railsplitters have won the last four meetings dating back to last season, including a 5-2 win in the most recent matchup (April 27, 2025). Tuesday's doubleheader is another big opportunity for LMU to carry momentum into the next stretch of SAC play and test itself against one of the conference's top teams on the road.
