HARROGATE, TN - Lincoln Memorial is back home Saturday afternoon to continue South Atlantic Conference play, welcoming Newberry for a doubleheader at Dorothy Neely Softball Complex. First pitch is set for 1 p.m., with game two to follow at 3 p.m.
The Railsplitters enter the weekend looking to build momentum behind an offense that has shown plenty of pop and pressure at the top of the order. Reese Vivrette continues to set the tone, hitting .343 with a team-high 24 runs scored, while Hanna Bogoski has been one of LMU's most consistent bats at .345 with 10 runs and 10 RBI. In the middle of the lineup, Hannah McMeen has provided the biggest power punch with five home runs and 19 RBI. Jordann Reagan has been a tough out all season, pairing extra-base impact (six doubles, two homers) with strong plate discipline (18 walks) and a .440 on-base percentage. LMU's ability to turn baserunners into crooked numbers will be key against a Newberry team that can score in bunches.
Newberry arrives in Harrogate at 12-16 overall and 3-5 in SAC play, with several hitters swinging it well. Samantha Clark leads the Wolves at .368 with 35 hits, while Payton Little is hitting .361 with three home runs and a .528 slugging percentage. Haidyn Campbell has been a steady table-setter (.333 average, 17 walks), and the Wolves have multiple bats capable of driving the ball when they get traffic on the bases.
Saturday's matchup also comes with plenty of history. LMU leads the all-time series 19-14 and has won four straight against Newberry, including a doubleheader sweep on April 1, 2025 (11-7 and 13-2) in Newberry, South Carolina. With the series trend and home field on their side, the Railsplitters will aim to set the tone early and make Saturday a statement day in conference play.
