GREENVILLE, SC – The No. 24 Lincoln Memorial University women's golf team returns to action April 12–14 at the 2026 SAC Women's Golf Championship, held at The Preserve at Verdae Golf Club in Greenville, South Carolina. The conference championship serves as LMU's final tune-up before the postseason, and it comes with a postseason-style format: teams will play 36 holes on Sunday and 18 holes on Monday, with the top four teams advancing to medal match play on Tuesday (No. 1 vs. No. 4 and No. 2 vs. No. 3), leading into Tuesday afternoon's championship match.
LMU heads into Greenville after a spring that has flashed both a high ceiling and steady top-end potential. The Railsplitters opened the semester with a fourth-place finish at the Battle at Hilton Head, followed by a statement team title at the LR/Dunes West Intercollegiate. After an 11th-place showing at the Jerry Surratt Memorial, LMU rebounded with another fourth-place finish at the Findlay Spring Invite and closed the regular season sixth at the Grand Harbor Classic, building momentum entering conference play.
The SAC field features the league's full slate: Lincoln Memorial, Wingate, Anderson (SC), Catawba, Carson-Newman, Coker, Lenoir-Rhyne, Mars Hill, UVA Wise, Newberry, and Tusculum. The championship is loaded at the top, highlighted by No. 1 Wingate and No. 3 Anderson (SC), with additional nationally ranked challengers including No. 27 Carson-Newman, No. 38 Lenoir-Rhyne, and No. 42 Catawba, setting the stage for three days of tight scoring and a high-pressure finish in match play.
