Baseball hosts 4th-ranked North Greenville for final non-conference game of season

Harrogate, TN --  The Lincoln Memorial baseball team is set to conclude its non-conference regular season schedule by hosting fourth-ranked North Greenville University. This high-stakes match up marks the second meeting between the two programs this year, following a thrilling contest in early February. In that previous encounter, the Railsplitters fell narrowly to the Trailblazers, 8-7, in Tigerville, South Carolina. North Greenville enters the midweek showdown with an impressive 36-7 overall record and a dominant 23-4 mark in conference play. Meanwhile, Lincoln Memorial brings a solid 26-16 overall record into the game, supported by a 17-10 standing in South Atlantic Conference competition.

The Lincoln Memorial offense has been fueled by several standout performers who have maintained consistent production throughout the season. Gabe Gray leads the team with a .374 batting average and a .956 OPS, recording 64 hits and successfully stealing 13 bases on 15 attempts. Caleb Jordan is close behind with a .357 average and 56 hits, while Brady Morse has provided significant power with 14 doubles and 51 hits on the year. Nick Kaelin has been a force in limited action with a .346 average and a team-high 1.052 OPS, and Alex Kowalski has shown his versatility by totaling 27 hits and eight stolen bases, leading the team in home runs with seven on the season. Peyton Mullannix has also been a major contributor on the basepaths, leading the team with 16 stolen bases.

On the mound, the Railsplitters have relied on a core rotation to navigate a challenging schedule. Payton Armour has been a primary workhorse, logging 61 innings with 44 strikeouts and a 4.13 ERA. Lucas Smith has provided stability with a team-high six wins and a 3.76 ERA over 38.1 innings of work, while Bradric Helton has contributed five victories and a 4.22 ERA. Adrian Smith and Eli Edds have also been vital to the pitching staff, combining for eight wins and totaling 77 strikeouts between them. As a staff, Lincoln Memorial enters the final stretch of the season looking to build on their 5.40 team ERA and 331 total strikeouts as they prepare for the postseason.
