DAHLONEGA, GA.– No. 8 Lincoln Memorial Men's Golf is ready to kick off their season at the Lake Lanier Collegiate Classic, set for Monday, Sept. 21 - Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Ga., and is hosted by the University of North Georgia.
"We're really excited to finally get the season started. The guys have put in a lot of hard work since getting back to campus, and we've seen a lot of progress in our preparation and development. Now it's time to get out there and compete, see where our game is, and continue building throughout the season. We're excited about this group and looking forward to getting started." Said Head Coach Brad Robinson.
The Lake Lanier Collegiate Classic was previously named the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate, and was hosted at Chattahoochee Golf Club, however due to renovations the event has been moved to Achasta Golf Club for the year. Standout Morgan Cain snagged individual medalist honors in the 2025 Fall Season, while as a team the Railsplitters placed 11th out of the 15 teams.
The Classic brings in multiple South Atlantic Conference contenders in Anderson University, Carson-Newman University, No. 9 Catawba College, and No. 6 Wingate University, along with other strong, ranked opponents in No. 2 Lee University, No. 5 Columbus State University, No. 14 North Georgia, No. 15 USC-Aiken, and No. 21 USC-Beaufort to give the Railsplitters an early test.
Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a successful season, falling just short in the SAC Conference Championship, claiming the runner-up title, but have returned multiple standouts from last year's run where they ended off the season ranked No. 12 nationally.
