Railsplitters Surge, Enter Top Five in Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches Poll

NORMAN, Okla. — The Lincoln Memorial University men's golf team has moved into the top five of the Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll following a strong showing at the Lake Lanier Collegiate Classic, where the Railsplitters finished second as a team and Mason Edwards earned a runner-up finish individually at 11-under par. 

The Railsplitters are now the highest-ranked team in the South Atlantic Conference, leapfrogging No. 11 Wingate University. Catawba College dropped to No. 19 after debuting just behind Lincoln Memorial at No. 9. Anderson University (S.C.) entered the poll at No. 24 after finishing 11th at the 2026 Savannah Lakes Men's Invitational and third at the Lake Lanier Collegiate Classic, rounding out the SAC's ranked teams. 

No. 1 Florida Southern (14 first-place votes), No. 2 North Georgia (one first-place vote), No. 3 Grand Valley State, and No. 5 Lee rounded out the top five. No. 6 Georgia Southwestern, No. 7 USC Aiken, No. 8 Nova Southeastern, No. 9 Columbus State and No. 10 Central Oklahoma (one first-place vote) completed the top 10.
