Harrogate, TN -- Lincoln Memorial women's golfer Joslin Nave has been selected as this week's First Century Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week. A redshirt sophomore from Sevierville, Tennessee, Nave has consistently demonstrated excellence both on the golf course and in the classroom while pursuing a degree in exercise science and rehabilitation. The former Sevier County High School standout has become a vital part of the Railsplitter community, balancing a rigorous academic schedule with her commitment to the intercollegiate golf program.
On the course, Nave has shown significant growth and resilience throughout her career. During the 2025-2026 season at the Ralph Hayes Toyota D2 Invitational, she carded a total score of 159, highlighted by a second-round 75 that proved instrumental in helping the team secure a fourth-place finish. This followed a freshman campaign where she gained valuable experience competing at the St. Simons Intercollegiate. Her athletic progress is mirrored by her professional dedication to the sports industry, having worked in country club pro-shops and currently assisting the LMU athletics department with game announcements, instant replay operations, and more.
Nave's academic and leadership resume is equally distinguished, as evidenced by her impressive 3.826 grade point average. She has earned numerous accolades, including placement on the Dean's List, being named a Splitter Scholar and ABE Scholar, and receiving the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award and a spot on the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll. Her leadership extends across campus where she serves as the secretary for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and has participated as a senator for the Student Government Association. Her upcoming induction into the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society further cements her status as one of the university's premier student-athletes.
Beyond her individual achievements, Nave is a pillar of the community through her extensive volunteer efforts and campus involvement. She remains active in the Lincoln Activity Board, the sports exercise science club, and various campus ministries including the Baptist Collegiate Ministry and Delight Ministries.
