Harrogate, TN -- Lincoln Memorial senior men's lacrosse player Connor Blondin has been named this week's First Century Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Blondin, who is currently completing his Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology with a focus on the wildlife track, has maintained an extraordinary 3.968 grade point average throughout his academic career. His dedication to scholarship was recognized last spring when he was inducted into both the Chi Alpha Sigma student-athlete honor society and the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. His academic consistency is reflected in his presence on the Lincoln Memorial University Dean's list for the past seven semesters.
Blondin's accolades extend to the national and conference levels, as he was honored with the 2025 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award and earned a spot on the 2024-25 SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll. When he is not competing on the lacrosse field, he is heavily involved in the campus community, serving as an active member of the Wildlife Society club and dedicating his time to various volunteer initiatives. His service record includes participation in projects such as ROHO, the Harvest Moon Festival, the Bowling for Autism event, Halloween Havoc, the Cumberland Art and Wine Festival, and the university food drive challenge.
On the field, the defender has been a steady presence for the Railsplitters over four seasons. Throughout his career, Blondin has appeared in 32 games with 22 starts. His defensive contributions are highlighted by 38 career ground balls and 16 caused turnovers. In his freshman season in 2023, he recorded one point on an assist and maintained a perfect shot-on-goal percentage. His reliability continued through the 2024 and 2025 seasons, where he combined for 30 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers across 22 games. Now in his senior campaign, Blondin has already appeared in two games, recording one ground ball and one caused turnover as he helps lead the team through the 2026 season.
