HARROGATE, Tenn. -- After opening the season 2-0 at home in the SAC vs. Peach Belt Conference Classic, the Lady Railsplitters now will make their first road trip of the young season as they make the short trip to Williamsburg for a Tuesday matchup with the University of the Cumberlands. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. at the O. Wayne Rollins Center.
LMU enters the contest on a two game win streak, having won both games of the SAC Vs. Peach Belt Conference Challenge this weekend. They defeated #21 Lander 71-67 Friday evening and USC Aiken 78-51 Saturday afternoon.
The game will be broadcast on 91.3 WLMU-FM with play-by-play by Rusty Peace and Brandon Burke. The University of the Cumberlands is also providing a video live stream and live stats.
LINCOLN MEMORIAL VS. THE UNIVERSITY OF THE CUMBERLANDS
· This is LMU's first road game of the year and their only non-conference road game of the season.
· This will be the first time LMU has faced the Patriots since the 1996-97 season.
· In their last appearance in Williamsburg, LMU used a late run to pull out the 74-67 win. Melinda Godfrey and Brandy Brown led the way with 18 points each while Natasha Davis added in 12 points. Godfrey led LMU on the boards with 10.
· LMU enters the contest with a 2-0 record, including a win over 21st-ranked Lander last Friday.
· The Patriots come in with a 2-1 record and will be looking to get past their first loss of the season last Saturday. They went 11-16 last year.
· This will be the only NAIA opponent on LMU's schedule this season.
· After Tuesday's contest, LMU will host local rival King University Saturday afternoon in the Tex Turner Arena before traveling to Jefferson City next Tuesday (Nov. 22) for the South Atlantic Conference opener against arch-rival Carson-Newman.
SCOUTING LMU
· The Lady Railsplitters come into Tuesday with their first 2-0 start to the season since 2003-04.
· The last time LMU started a season 3-0 was in the 1998-99 season.
· LMU enters the game with a program record of 822-480-1 in 75 seasons of competition.
· The win over #21 Lander was LMU's first win over a ranked opponent since they upset #20 Carson-Newman 56-54 last season.

Megan Pittman is currently leading the team in both scoring (12.5 ppg) and rebounding (7.5 rpg).
· Freshman
Sydney Duggins ended the first two games of her career averaging 10.5 points and 6.0 rebounds a game, second on the team to Pittman in both categories.
· LMU is outshooting their opponents 41.7 percent to 32.3 percent this season.
· The Lady Railsplitters under
Krystal Evans have become nationally known for their rebounding, and this year's team currently is out-rebounding opponents by 11.0 rebounds a game.
· In Saturday's game vs. USC Aiken,
Megan Pittman moved into tenth place in the LMU career rebounds category. Pittman, who now has 547 career rebounds at LMU, surpassed Debbie Green's total of 540 from 1988-91. All-American Terry Whitehead (1984-86) is in ninth place with 580 rebounds.
LAST TIME VS. UC
· In their first meeting since the 1997-98 season, LMU trailed for most of the first half before blowing the game open in the fourth quarter as they defeated the Patriots 72-58 before a home crowd of over 700.
· The game was tied at 40-40 with 9:21 remaining when LMU went on a 16-4 run over the next six and a half minutes (including nine points by
Megan Pittman) to put the game away.
· Pittman led the way for LMU with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds, including 6-of-6 shooting from the field and a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line.
· Sydnie Anderson added in 14 points and three assists while
Kiara Rawls had 10 points.
· Cheyenne Madden led the way for UC with 17 points. Lydia Box added in 15 points and 11 rebounds.
SERIES VS. UC
· According to records, this is the 28th meeting in the series, dating back to the 1926 season.
· The teams probably met a few times in the 1920s, but results of those games do not exist in the LMU archives.
· LMU leads the series 18-9 overall and 17-8 in the modern era (1978-present)
· In the modern era, LMU holds a 10-3 record in Harrogate (3-0 in the Tex Turner Arena) and a 7-5 record in Williamsburg.
· This is actually only the second meeting between LMU and the University of the Cumberlands Patriots. Prior to 2005, the school was known as Cumberland College. The undergraduate component of the school still officially goes by that name.
SCOUTING UC
· According to UC's website, should they win on Tuesday vs. LMU it will be the 700th victory in Cumberlands' history. They enter the game with a 699-501 record.
· UC Coach Melissa Irvin (a former player at UC from 1989-94) enters the contest with a 390-205 record. She is in her 20th season at UC.
· Cheyenne Madden was the top scorer last year and currently leads the team with a 17.0 ppg average.
· Madden was also the top rebounder on the team last year and also leads the team with a 9.0 rpg average.
· Sarah Kelton is one of the top scoring threats returning from last season, she averaged averaged 8.4 ppg last season and has 8.3 entering Tuesday's game.
· UC opened the season with a 48-47 win over WVU-Tech in the Rollins Center. On Nov. 4-5 they played in the Georgetown College Classic where they defeated Lourdes 68-51 before falling to Lindenwood-Belleville 57-53.
· This will be the first game for the Patriots in 10 days.
· The first quarter is the most productive for UC this season as they have outscored opponents 31-18 in that stanza. They could also be called a fourth quarter team as they have a 52-46 advantage in that period.
