Women's Basketball

20th-ranked Lady Railsplitters host Lenoir-Rhyne Wednesday evening

HARROGATE, Tenn. – The 20th-ranked LMU women's basketball team hopes to keep up their winning ways as they host Lenoir-Rhyne in South Atlantic Conference action Wednesday evening.

LMU comes into the game with a 6-0 record after a 63-50 win over Lees-McRae Saturday afternoon. The win moves LMU to 6-0 for the first time since the 1991-92 season. That team started the season 7-0, which is the best start in the program's modern era.

Against Lees-McRae, LMU never trailed as they were led by Megan Pittman's (Liberty, Ky.) double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Josey Harding (Middletown, Ohio) also had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. LMU won the game despite being out-shot 29.0%-27.6% from the field. The Lady Railsplitters did own the boards, however, as they pulled down 57 rebounds to LMC's 44.

Wednesday's game will be video streamed live on the LMU Sports Network and LMU will also be providing live stats. Fans listening on the radio can hear play-by-play with Rusty Peace on the LMU Sports Network at 91.3 WLMU-FM and online at www.913thegap.com.

LINCOLN MEMORIAL VS. L-R
· This is the first meeting between the two schools this season.

· L-R comes into the game after a weekend trip to Puerto Rico, where they defeated UPR-Bayamón  60-53 and lost to defending National Champion Lubbock Christian 47-39.
· This game starts a stretch of three SAC games over the next five days as LMU hosts Coker on Saturday and Brevard on Monday.
