Kyle Arcuri (Patchogue, N.Y.) piled up five points to power the Railsplitters (4-3) in a 16-10 win over the Georgian Court Lions (0-9) on Thursday afternoon in Lakewood, N.J.

The winless Lions opened the match by taking a 5-1 lead, but Lincoln Memorial ripped off a 9-2 spurt from the early going of the second quarter until midway through the third to overcome Georgian Court and snap a two-game losing streak. With the win, the Railsplitters also match their win total from the inauguaral 2015 campaign, when Lincoln Memorial finished 4-10.

Neisler produced five goals on 10 shots and six shots on goal, while Arcuri collected two goals and three assists to go along with three groundball recoveries.
Billy Kopsky (Smithtown, N.Y.) chipped in a goal and three assists, while
Adam Golia (Victoria, British Columbia),
Jared Courchene (Sagkeeng, Manitoba) and
Nick Borriello (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) added two goals apiece.

Junior goalkeeper
Joe Medel (Virginia Beach, Va.) improved to 4-3 on the season after making 10 saves in 60 minutes of action.

For the Lions, CJ Francisco led the way with four goals and two assists on a match-high 11 shots and seven shots on goal. Connor Houghton logged a goal and three assists, while Jake Sherman and Joseph Ramirez produced two goals apiece.

Georgian Court goalkeeper Logan Eisenhart suffered the loss in net for the Lions after letting in 16 goals and making 15 saves in 60 minutes.

The Railsplitters tallied the first goal of the match when Golia connected with Courchene at the 11:40 mark of the first quarter, but Georgian Court would scored five unanswered goals to assume a 5-1 lead with 13:09 left in the second quarter.

With their backs against the wall, Lincoln Memorial responded and closed the first half on a 6-2 run to tie the match at 7-7 at the break. Arcuri kicked off that flurry by scoring two straight goals and assisting on another, while Neisler scored the Railsplitters' last two goals in less than a two-minute span. Francisco dealt the final blow of the half for the Lions, though, with 1:11 left on the clock to even the match.

The Railsplitters maintained their momentum quickly in the second half, scoring three times in the first six minutes to assume a 10-7 edge. Kopsky, Borriello and Golia contributed the goals over the stretch.

Georgian Court closed the gap to 11-9 on a goal by Cory Boyle at the 13:58 mark of the fourth quarter, but the Railsplitters would rip off a 4-0 run over the next 11 minutes to build a 15-9 cushion with less than three minutes to play.

Neisler scored the final goal of the game at the 1:28 mark of the fourth quarter to clinch LMU's 16-10 triumph.

The Railsplitters finished with a 49-35 edge in shot attempts and a 48-32 advantage in groundball recoveries. Lincoln Memorial also went 23-for-28 on clearances, but went just 14-for-30 at the face-off x. The Railsplitters did an outstanding job of limiting their turnovers, committing just 13 miscues in the contest.

Lincoln Memorial returns to South Atlantic Conference play on March 30, when they travel to Greeneville, Tenn. to take on the Tusculum Pioneers at 7 p.m.
