ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Lady Railsplitter beach volleyball squad went 1-1 on their final day of competition in the Georgia State Diggin' Duals Saturday. They fell to Louisiana-Monroe 4-1 and rebounded with a 3-2 win over Eckerd.

MATCH ONE VS. LOUISIANA-MONROE
Samantha Cash (New Carlisle, Ohio) and Erica Whiteaker (Kingston Springs, Tenn.) picked up LMU's win vs. the Warhawks at the No. 3 position as they won in straight sets 21-16, 21-18. Samantha's sister Abby and Brooke Fleeman (Nashville, Tenn.) fell in a hard-fought match at No. 1 21-15, 21-19.

MATCH TWO VS. ECKERD
LMU picked up their second win of the season and their first over the Tritons with the thrilling 3-2 victory.

Samantha Cash and Whiteaker picked up their fourth win of the year as they won at the No. 3 position in three sets 21-18, 12-21, 18-16. Abby Cash and Fleeman also picked up a three-set win at No. 1, winning 21-16, 17-21, 15-13. The third win of the match came at No. 4 as Kiera Holland (Columbia, S.C.) and Peyton McDaniel picked up their second win as a pair with the 21-15, 21-13 victory.

The Lady Railsplitters will have a few days off before competing in the UAB Blazer Beach Duals next weekend. They will face Jacksonville State and UAB on Saturday and Louisiana-Monroe and Spring Hill on Sunday.
