MARS HILL, N.C. -- The Lady Railsplitter tennis team (6-3, 2-3 SAC) turned in one of their more dominating performances of the season as they dominated Mars Hill (3-8, 0-5 SAC) 8-1 Saturday afternoon at the Hart Tennis Complex.

LMU swept all three doubles matches. Elena Vasilyeva and Priscilla Bulandres defeated Jasha Geerdink and Samantha Echevarria 9-7 at No. 1. At No. 2 Javiera Gonzalez/Rosa Smith won over MHU's Lucy McLaurin and Jade Henke 8-4 while at No. 3 Marta Pinol and Roksolana Prudyvus easily won over Luz Heilman and Hannah Hill 8-1.

In singles play, the Lions picked up their lone win at No. 2 where Geerdink took LMU's Marta Pinol to three sets 6-4, 1-6, 10-8. 

At No. 1, Vasilyeva won her fourth match of the season with the 6-2, 6-3 win over Echevarria. At the No. 3 flight Gonzalez won 6-4, 6-2 over McLaurin while Bulandres improved to 6-3 overall on the season with her 8-2 win over Henke at No. 4. Prudyvus blanked Natalie Hilbig 8-0 at No. 5 and LMU's Angelica Solano bested Hill 6-1, 6-0.

LMU travels to Georgetown, Kentucky for a 2 p.m. match against Georgetown College on March 7.
