HARROGATE, Tenn. – The No. 6/10 Lady Railsplitter basketball team hits the road for a pair of South Atlantic Conference matchups this week. First up is Queens University of Charlotte on Monday.
LMU is currently 12-0 overall and 7-0 in SAC play coming into Monday's game. They are currently ranked sixth in the latest D2SIDA National Media Poll and tenth in the WBCA/USA Today NCAA Division II Coaches Poll. Those represent the highest rankings in program history.
Currently, LMU sits atop the SAC standings with their 7-0 SAC record. Catawba and Anderson are tied for second with 7-1 records. Wingate is fourth with a 6-2 record.
In their last game vs. Mars Hill, LMU ran up a 13-0 lead out of the gate. The Lions would cut the lead to six late in the second quarter and trailed 41-32 at the half. The Lady Railsplitters came out in the third quarter and put the game away quickly with a 30-8 run and coast to the 95-51 win.
Shea Coker (Knoxville, Tenn.) led the way with 18 points.
Megan Pittman (Liberty, Ky.) chipped in 15 points and eight rebounds while
Karsen Sims (Gatlinburg, Tenn.) had 14 points and
Sydnie Anderson (Cleveland, Tenn.) added in 11 points.
Josey Harding (Middletown, Ohio) had nine rebounds.

LINCOLN MEMORIAL VS. QUEENS
· This is the first meeting between the two schools this season. The Royals will make the trip to Harrogate on Feb. 18.
· LMU was picked 5th in the pre-season coaches poll and Queens 11
th.
· Queens comes into the game with a 3-9 overall record and a 3-4 record in SAC play. Their wins have come over Coker, Brevard and Mars Hill.
· LMU won the last meeting between the two schools in the Tex Turner Arena as they used a second quarter run to grab the lead and never look bask in the 80-66 win on Jan. 9, 2016.
· After this game, the Lady Railsplitters will travel to Anderson on Wednesday for a huge SAC outing with the second-place Trojans. Their next home game is Saturday, Jan. 14 vs. Catawba.
SCOUTING LMU
· The current 12 game win streak ties this team with the 1999-2000 team for the longest win streak during LMU's time in the NCAA.

Megan Pittman is leading the team in scoring with 13.9 ppg. She is currently shooting 85.7% from the free throw line, which ranks her fifth in the SAC. She is fourth in the SAC in total free throws total rebounds (second in offensive and sixth in defensive), fifth in rebounds per game, tenth in blocks, eleventh in steals and ninth in points.

Shea Coker is close behind Pittman with 13.6 points a game. She currently ranks eighth in the SAC in field goals made and ninth in field goal percentage, fifth in 3-pt. percentage, seventh in made three pointers and 10
th in points.
· Senior
Josey Harding (Middletown, Ohio) currently leads the team in rebounding with 10.8 rebounds a game. She currently ranks first in the SAC in rebounds per game and second in total rebounds and defensive rebounds. She is also sixth in offensive rebounds and total free throws and 11
th in blocks. She set a new SAC single-game rebound record with her 27 at Carson-Newman.
· Karsen Sims also is averaging in double figures in scoring with 10.5 points a game. She currently leads the SAC in 3-pt. percentage, is second in assist to turnover ratio and eighth in assists.
· LMU is outshooting their opponents 42.9 percent to 35.5 percent this season. They are outscoring their opponents by a margin of 18.9 points per game.
· The Lady Railsplitters are currently out-rebounding opponents by 9.7 rebounds a game. In the
Krystal Evans era, LMU has outrebounded their opponents in 59 of the 70 games played.
· LMU enters the game with a program record of 832-480-1 in 75 seasons of competition.
LMU IN THE RANKINGS
· The Lady Railsplitters are ranked 10
th in the latest WBCA/USA Today Top 25 Coaches' Poll.
· The team is ranked in the D2SIDA National Media Poll at the No. 6 position. This is the highest the team has ever been ranked in any poll in program history.
· As of this writing, LMU is also ranked first in the Southeast Region in the latest D2SIDA Media Poll, with all six first place votes. The new poll will be released Monday afternoon right before game time.
RECORD WATCH
· Megan Pittman passed the 800 career points mark against Mars Hill. She currently has 802. Harding has 580, Coker 548, Anderson 295 and Mathis 216.
· Pittman has 647 career rebounds, 8
th all-time. She is nine rebounds behind seventh-place Robin Adams (1987-90).
· Pittman is now 22
th all-time in made free throws with 192. She is two behind #21 Karmella Wynne (2001-04).
· Harding's 27 rebounds against Carson-Newman On Nov. 22 set a new LMU and SAC record for rebounds in a game. She is also the only player in LMU history, men or women, to have consecutive 20+ rebound games.
· Harding currently has 607 rebounds and ranks ninth in career rebounds. She is 40 behind Pittman.
· Harding is 17th all-time in made free throws (206). She trails 16th place Robin Cox (1992-96) by 13. She is also now tied for 17th in free throw attempts (292) with Juanita Hall (1978-82) and is 13 behind Madeline Richards (2003-07).

LAST TIME VS. QUEENS
· LMU had one of their poorest performances of the 2015-16 season in a 58-52 loss to Queens on Feb.20, 2016. As a team they shot 35 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from three-point range.
· Britney Guy led the team with nine points. Pittman and Coker added in eight points each.
· Erin Brundage led Queen with 14 points. McKell Oliverio added in 13, Carmen Richardson 12 and Maggie Stewart scored 10 points.
· LMU outrebounded the Royals 43-29.
SERIES VS. QUEENS
· LMU leads the series 9-3. Since Queens joined the SAC in 2011, LMU is 7-1.
· LMU holds a 6-0 record vs. Queens in the Tex Turner Arena. All of LMU's losses to Queens have been in Charlotte, where they are 3-3 vs. the Royals.
SCOUTING QUEENS
· Queens returns seven players including three starters from last year's team. Coach Jansen has brought in 7 new players, 3 of them true freshmen.
· Carmen Richardson is the top returning scorer and rebounder from last season.
· McKell Oliverio is currently leading the team in scoring with 15.3 ppg.
· Mendy McNeese is second In scoring with 12.7 ppg.
· Maggie Stewart leads the team in rebounding with 4.7 rpg.
· Head coach Sarah Jansen took over the head coaching job last spring after spending the last four seasons at Mars Hill, where she led the Lions to their first winning record in several seasons. She replaced long-time coach Susan Yow, who retired from coaching to help manage the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Jansen comes into the game with a 3-9 record at Queens and a 44-76 overall record.
