HARROGATE, Tenn. – The No. 9/11 Lincoln Memorial University women's basketball team is on the road this weekend looking to get back on the winning track as they travel to Mars Hill in South Atlantic Conference action Wednesday evening. LMU defeated the Lions 95-51 on Jan. 4.
LMU is currently 21-2 overall and 16-2 in SAC play coming into the game. They are currently ranked ninth in the latest D2SIDA National Media Poll and eleventh in the WBCA/USA Today NCAA Division II Coaches Poll.
Currently, LMU sits atop the SAC standings with their 16-2 SAC record. Wingate is in second with a 15-3 record.
In their last game vs. Newberry, the Lady Railsplitters had a cold night from the field and Newberry took advantage, hitting eight three-pointers and holding off a late LMU charge to take the 56-52 win.
Megan Pittman (Liberty, Ky.) had 15 points and four rebounds. Eleven of those points came in the fourth quarter.
Shea Coker (Knoxville, Tenn.) chipped in 13 points.

LINCOLN MEMORIAL VS. MARS HILL
· LMU won the prior meeting this season, 95-51 in Harrogate.
· In the last meeting in the Stanford Arena, it was a see-saw affair with 12 ties and 10 lead changes, including LMU giving up a late 8 point lead. They took the lead for good with 49 seconds left and held off the Lions at the free throw line to pull out the 75-72 win. Rawls led LMU with 16 points, Pittman had 14 points, Guy 12 and Sims 10.
· Mars Hill comes into the game in a three-way tie for ninth place in the SAC. They have a 6-18 overall record and a 4-14 record in SAC play. They trail eighth place Tusculum by one game.
· After this game, the Lady Railsplitters will host Queens next Saturday.

Megan Pittman leads the team in scoring with an average of 16.3 points a game. She is second on the team in rebounding with 10.1 a game. Pittman is currently shooting 82.1% from the free throw line, which ranks her third in the SAC. She now leads the SAC in total free throws and offensive rebounds; is second in total rebounds and rebounds per game; third in defensive rebounding; fifth in points and points per game; sixth in steals; eighth in three-point percentage; and ninth in blocks.

Shea Coker is second on the team in scoring with a 13.8 points per game average. She currently is second in the SAC in 3-pt percentage; seventh in field goal percentage; eighth in made three-pointers; tenth in points; eleventh in made field goals; and twelfth in points per game.

Josey Harding currently leads the team and the SAC in rebounding and rebounds per game with 10.5 rebounds a game (Pittman is second) and is fourth on the team in scoring with 7.5 points a game. She also currently ranks second in the SAC in defensive rebounds and offensive rebounds; and seventh in free throws. She is also 15th in free throw percentage. She set a new SAC single-game rebound record with her 27 at Carson-Newman and with her 23 rebounds at Anderson she became the first LMU player, men or women, to have three 20+ rebound games.
· Karsen Sims (Gatlinburg, Tenn.) is third on the team in scoring with 8.4 points a game. She currently is third in the SAC in 3-pt. percentage, fourth in assist to turnover ratio and is 13th in assists.
· As a team, LMU ranks first in the SAC in 3-pt. percentage, all free throw categories, offensive rebounds per game and total rebounds per game. They rank second in rebound margin per game, opponents' three-point percentage, FG attempts, points and points per game. They are third in defensive rebounds, field goals made and made three-pointers.
· LMU is outshooting their opponents 40.7 percent to 38.0 percent this season. They are outscoring their opponents by a 13.6 points per game margin.
· LMU is ranked fifth in the nation in rebound margin, tenth in three-point field goal percentage, sixth in offensive rebounds and 14th in rebounds per game.
· The Lady Railsplitters are currently out-rebounding opponents by 10.4 rebounds a game. In the
Krystal Evans era, LMU has outrebounded their opponents in 69 of the 81 games played.

· The Lady Railsplitters are ranked eleventh in the latest WBCA/USA Today Top 25 Coaches' Poll.
· The team is ranked eleventh in the D2SIDA National Media Poll.
· The fourth-place ranking earlier this season was the highest any SAC team has been ranked in the media poll, which was started in 2014 and ties the highest ranking by a SAC team in conference history. The other team? Former SAC member Presbyterian, who was ranked fourth in the coaches' poll for two weeks in February, 2000.
· The fifth-place coaches' poll ranking earlier this season ties the highest ranking by a current SAC team in the coaches' poll with Tusculum, who were ranked fifth the week of Jan. 13, 3009.
· LMU is ranked second in the Southeast Region in the latest D2SIDA Media Poll. The official NCAA regional rankings will be released Feb. 15.

Megan Pittman currently has 1009 career points, moving her up to 18
th place in the all-time standings. She became the 18
th member of the LMU 1,000 point club at Newberry on Feb. 11. She trails #17 Nickie Snow (1984-88) by 18 points. Coker has 702, Harding has 664, Anderson 356, Mathis 267 and Sims 255.
· REBOUNDS - Pittman has 764 career rebounds, and now is in third place in the LMU record book. She is 95 rebounds behind second-place Lori Neely (1985-89).
· Harding currently has 720 rebounds and ranks fifth in career rebounds. She is 13 behind #4 Robin Cox (1992-96) and trails Pittman by 44. Mathis is 17th in made treys with 66 and trails #16 Mollie Cooper (1994-97) by two. She is 16th on the attempts list with 196.
· FREE THROWS – Pittman has leapfrogged Harding and is now 14th all-time in made free throws with 242. She trails #14 Carrie Shoffner (1985-89) by one. She is in 18th place in free throw attempts with 296, which translates to third place in career free throw percentage (81.8%).
· Harding is 15th all-time in made free throws (240) and is one behind Pittman. She is 10th in free throw attempts (346).
· BLOCKS - Harding is currently in fifth place on the all-time blocks list with 102. She is the fifth player in LMU history to have 100 or more blocks.
· Pittman is also on the blocks list, where she is 16
th with 47 blocks. Pittman is three behind 15
th place Pam Walters (1989-93).
LAST TIME VS. MARS HILL
· The teams met in Harrogate on Jan. 4. Four players scored in double figures as LMU held the Lions to 29.5 percent shooting from the field. Oh, and tied the school record for three-pointers in a game with 17. The Lady Railsplitters led from the get-go. Mars Hill would cut the lead to 38-32 with 1:12 remaining in the first half, but LMU would out-score MHU 54-19 in the second half to coast to the 95-51 win.
