HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Railsplitters (4-3, 0-1 SAC) will try to snap a two-game losing streak on Sunday when they host the Wingate Bulldogs (4-2, 1-1 SAC) for the South Atlantic Conference home opener at 3 p.m. inside the LMU Soccer Complex. Lincoln Memorial aims to rebound from a heartbreaking 13-12 loss at Catawba last Saturday, while Wingate suffered a narrow 10-9 loss that same day at No. 13 Lenoir-Rhyne.

-The Railsplitters' fourth-quarter woes continued in last Saturday's one-goal loss at Catawba, as the Indians closed on a 5-0 run to erase a late 12-8 deficit. That was similar to Lincoln Memorial's loss to Florida Southern, when the Mocs used a 4-0 start to the fourth quarter to rally for a 9-7 victory at the LMU Lacrosse Complex.
-Lincoln Memorial has been outscored 25-20 in the fourth quarter this season. The Railsplitters have outscored their opponents 68-49 in all other quarters, including a massive 28-10 advantage in the second.
-After being limited to a season-low for points, shots and shots on goal against Florida Southern,
Adam Golia (Victoria, British Columbia) had a nice bounce-back effort against Catawba with five goals and one assist on seven shots and six shots on goal.
Kyle Arcuri (Patchogue, N.Y.) pitched in four goals and one assist on six shots on goal against Catawba. Golia (30) and Arcuri (27) lead LMU in points by a significant margin.
Billy Kopsky (Smithtown, N.Y.) is third on the team with 11 points, while
Robert Tucker (Wantagh, N.Y.) is fourth with 10.

Joe Medel (Virginia Beach, Va.) had a match to forget against Catawba, allowing 13 goals with just six saves over 60 minutes of work. After posting a .679 save percentage and tying a career-high with 19 saves against Florida Southern, Medel recorded a career-worst .316 save percentage in the loss to the Indians. Prior to that, he had never posted a save percentage lower than .467.
-Since the program's inaugural season in 2015, the Railsplitters have suffered 10 losses by three goals or less. Seven of those have occurred in South Atlantic Conference play.
-The Railsplitters rank third in the conference in goals per game with 12.57, second in shots on goal percentage with a 65.1 percent clip and third in shooting percentage with a 34.5 percent mark. Lincoln Memorial has been a middle-of-the-pack defensive team with 10.57 goals per game allowed.
Notes on the Bulldogs:
-A 4-0 second-quarter run gave Lenoir-Rhyne the distance it needed to defeat the Bulldogs 10-9 last Saturday in Wingate, North Carolina. Wingate pulled to within one goal twice in the fourth quarter and had four shots at the game-tying goal in the final 1:11, but couldn't get the equalizer. Jeremy Sullivan led the Bulldogs with three goals, while Austin Murphy had a goal and two assists.
-Wingate shares two common opponents with Lincoln Memorial in Florida Tech and Florida Southern. The Bulldogs beat Florida Tech 11-8 and lost to Florida Southern 9-7. The Railsplitters fell 20-6 at Florida Tech in the season opener and also suffered a 9-7 loss to Mocs.
-Wingate goalie Will Sheridan is arguably the best at his position in the South Atlantic Conference, as the junior leads the league in goals against average with 7.5 and save percentage with a 66.7 percent clip. He has also made the second-most saves in the conference with 90. Sheridan hasn't posted a save percentage below 60 this season.
-Murphy's 25 points on 13 goals and 12 assists lead the Bulldogs by a wide margin. Sophomore Alex Llerandi is second on the team with 11 points (7 goals, 4 assists), while Daniel Godwin has produced nine points (7 goals, 2 assists). Conor Gronbach and Sullivan have added eight points apiece.
-Murphy has accounted for at least three points in all six of his appearances this season. He had a season-high six points with two goals and four assists in a win over Lynn on March 7.
-The Bulldogs are ranked second-to-last in the conference in clear percentage with an 80.9 mark. Wingate is solid at the face-off x, though, ranking fifth in the league with a 45.8 face-off winning percentage.
-Wyatt Weiseman leads Wingate with 23 groundball recoveries. Sheridan is second on the team with 22. Sean Moran and Drew Thompson have a team-leading 10 caused turnovers, which are the seventh-most in the SAC.
Series History:
-The Railsplitters will be looking for their first win over the Bulldogs, who defeated Lincoln Memorial 10-9 in 2015 and 18-10 in 2016.
-In last season's meeting at Graham Gill Field, Wingate opened on a 4-0 run and never trailed. The Railsplitters pulled within one early in the third quarter, but the Bulldogs finished on a 9-2 run. Arcuri and
Dylan Neisler (Detroit, Mich.) led LMU with three points apiece, while Murphy produced three goals and three assists for the Bulldogs.
