ST PETERSBURG, Fla. – The LMU beach volleyball team wrapped up a swing through the Sunshine State with a pair of games on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday they fell at Webber International 4-1 and on Tuesday they defeated Eckerd 3-2.

Against Webber, the duo of Beka Wachob (Milton, Fla.) and Erica Whiteaker (Kingston Springs, Tenn.) picked up the lone win for LMU, a 21-18, 19-21, 16-14 three set thriller at No. 5. Three of the five flights went to three sets; No. 5, No. 1 with Abby Cash (New Carlisle, Ohio) and Jamie Jehne (Hollywood, Fla.), and No. 3 with Bristol Snider (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Brooke Fleeman (Nashville, Tenn.).

At Eckerd, LMU won at the No. 2, 4 and 5 flights. Samantha Cash (New Carlisle, Ohio) and Danielle Ged (Smyrna, Tenn.) won 21-19, 21-18 at No. 2, Kiera Holland (Columbia, S.C.) and Lindsay Nartker (New Carlisle, Ohio) came from behind to win 13-21, 21-18, 15-13 at No. 4 and Wachob and Whiteaker won 21-16, 21-10 at No. 5.

LMU will play at the College of Charleston Beach Invitational this weekend against UNC Wilmington, College of Charleston and Tulane.
