Quick Hits:

-The Railsplitters notched the first four-game winning streak in program history on Saturday with a 15-6 win at Shorter. That match was tied at 2-2 late in the first quarter before Lincoln Memorial reeled off a 9-1 run that bled into the third quarter. The Railsplitters took their foot off the gas late and cruised to the finish line. All but one of the four wins during this four-game winning streak have been by at least eight goals.

-Junior midfielder Adam Golia (Victoria, British Columbia) was tabbed as the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week after combining for 10 goals and two assists in the Railsplitters' two wins last week. Golia had five goals on just five shot attempts in a win over Tennessee Wesleyan and added a season-high seven points on five goals and two assists against Shorter. The Victoria, British Columbia native has tallied at least two goals in all five matches this season and currently leads the SAC in goals with 17.

-Sophomore Kyle Arcuri (Patchogue, N.Y.) is ranked fifth in the SAC in points with 20 on 11 goals and a team-leading nine assists. He has accounted for all nine of those assists over the Railsplitters' last three matches, including a two-goal, three-assist performance against Shorter.

-The Railsplitters are ranked third in the SAC in scoring with 13.8 goals per game and shots per game with 35.2. In addition to that, Lincoln Memorial is second in the league in shooting percentage, as the Railsplitters have converted 39.2 percent of their shot attempts. The Railsplitters produced a season-high 47 shots against Shorter, and have ripped off at least 34 shots in every match during their four-game winning streak.

-Senior goalie Joe Medel (Virginia Beach, Va.) has been in a zone since surrendering 16 goals over 55 minutes of work in the Railsplitters' season-opening loss at Florida Tech. Over the last four matches, Medel has given up just 24 total goals and made 26 saves. He is ranked second in the SAC in goals against average with a stingy 9.11 mark, while his save percentage of 50 is the sixth-best mark in the conference.

-Wednesday marks Lincoln Memorial's first match against Florida Southern and its second against a Sunshine State Conference foe. The Railsplitters were handed a 20-6 loss by Florida Tech in the 2017 opener.

Notes on the Moccasins:

-Florida Southern's 2-3 record is extremely deceiving. The Moccasins dropped an 11-10 decision to No. 7 LIU Post in the season opener and also suffered losses to national powers Queens (17-8) and No. 5 NYIT (10-7). Along with that, Florida Southern defeated Wingate 9-7 and No. 17 Lake Erie 13-12.

-Nineteen different players have registered a point for the Moccasins this season and 14 have multiple points. Cody Dyer and Colin Bayer led the team with nine points on six goals and three assists apiece, while Kevin Dyer has six goals and an assist to his credit. Seth Leonard has seven points on three goals and a team-best four assists. Kyle Silverstein has also made an impact with four goals and two assists.

-When the Moccasins gain possession, they almost always complete the clearance. Florida Southern has successfully cleared on 75 of its 89 attempts this season for an 84.3 percent clip. The Mocs has struggled in the other possession metric, though, as they have won just 48.8 percent of face-offs.

-Florida Southern is receiving votes in the latest USILA/Nike Coaches Poll. The Moccasins were picked third in the SSC coaches poll behind Tampa and Rollins and ahead of Florida Tech.

-Two-time SSC Defensive Player of the Week Matt Lalli resides in goal for Florida Southern. The senior has compiled an 11.17 goals against average with a .595 save percentage over 263 minutes of work. His only real blemish this season was against Queens, when he gave up nine goals and made only four saves in 25 minutes of action.

-The Moccasins have really struggled in the opening quarter, as opponents have outscored them 18-8 in the first quarter. Florida Southern is an even 39-39 in all other quarters.
