HARROGATE, Tenn. — Fresh off an impressive, 2-0, win at Mars Hill Wednesday night, the Lincoln Memorial University men's soccer team is hoping to keep the South Atlantic Conference momentum flowing.
 
The Railsplitters (4-2-2, 2-1-1 SAC) start a four-of-five game homestand in hosting Wingate (5-2-1, 3-1-0) for their next head-to-head conference showdown.

Know the Opponent
 
- The Bulldogs come into this match, winning the last four of five, with four of those being in conference play. The last was a dominating, 5-1, victory at Catawba, and their lone conference loss was a 1-3 thumping at Lenoir-Rhyne.
 
- Goalkeeper Pablo Jara has allowed the fourth-lowest amount of goals with nine. The senior is also fourth in the conference with a .750 save percentage.
 
- Elliot Cutts and Nate Evans pace Wingate with four goals apiece, while Cutts has one more point (nine) than Evans due to an assist.
 
- Evans, however, has a team-high .692 shot-on-goal percentage, making 13 shots with nine being on goal and four on target.
 
Head-to-Head
- Wingate hasn't been an easy opponent for the Railsplitters in recent years. The last time LMU knocked off the Bulldogs was in 2011, when the Railsplitters secured a 2-0 victory on the road.
 
- LMU and Wingate played to a playoff, scoreless tie in 2015, but other than that and the win in '11, the Railsplitters have only one more victory, coming in 2007. The Bulldogs have owned the series, 11-2-1.
