Nashville, TN - Women's soccer senior Donna van der Zalm and men's soccer redshirt sophomore Hays Adams sweep the soccer Tennessee Sports Writers Association players of the week in the opening week of the regular season. 

The Tennessee Sports Writers Association Player of the Week recognizes collegiate athletes from Tennessee's NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA schools for their performances.

Van der Zalm scored two goals in the match against (RV) Columbus State in the 24th minute ad the 52nd minute. 

Adams scored two goals in their 3-1 win over Nova Southeastern in the 21st minute and 78th minute. 

This marks the first time in the history of the women's soccer program for someone to receive TSWA Player of the Week, and second in men's soccer program history.
