HARROGATE, Tenn. – The LMU women's basketball team will face 21st-ranked Wingate for the second time this season Saturday afternoon in Wingate, North Carolina.
LMU comes into the contest with a 13-9 overall record and a 9-7 record in South Atlantic Conference play. They lost at Anderson Wednesday 70-63 after going cold through the latter minutes of the game, allowing the Trojans to make a late 8-0 run and claim the win.
In that game, 
Qua Hines led LMU with 16 points and 
Shea Coker chipped in 11 points. 
Cameryn DuBose led the team on the boards with six rebounds. Alexy Mollenhauer led the Trojans with 20 points. Alex Easter and Alexis Dillard each added in 12 points apiece. Dillard had a game high nine rebounds.

SCOUTING WINGATE
· The Bulldogs are sitting solidly in second place in the SAC standings, just one game behind Carson-Newman. They have an 18-3 record and are 12-2 in SAC play, with the two losses both being on the road at Catawba and at Anderson. They are also currently riding an 11 game win streak.
· Ann Hancock is in her sixth season as the head coach at Wingate. Before coming to WU she spent 10 seasons at UNC-Wilmington. Her record at Wingate is 124-50 and her overall record is 262-206.
· Marta Miscenko leads the team with a 17.0 points and 7.3 rebounds a game average. She is also averaging 2.7 blocks a game and ranks fourth in the SAC in points per game. Caroline Averette is averaging 12.7 points a game.
· As a team, WU is averaging 70.2 points a game while giving up 57.4 points per game for a scoring margin of +12.8. Rebounding is a similar story as they have a +6.1 margin in rebounds on the season. They lead the SAC in three-point percentage, free throws made, opponent's 3-pt percentage and points per game allowed.
SERIES HISTORY
· LMU trails in the series 9-17. Wingate has won three of the last five meetings and are 9-3 against LMU in Cuddy Arena. In those last five meetings, three were determined by three-points or less and the other two were 20 point blowouts by each team.
· The last meeting between the two was on Dec. 13 in the Tex Turner Arena. Courtney Robinson hit a three-pointer as time expired as Wingate escaped Harrogate with the 67-64 win.
Qua Hines led the way for the Blue and Gray with 11 points, and 
Emily Griffith chipped in 10 points.

Addi Kirkpatrick had four points and

Marta Miscenko led WU with 18 points, Carolyn Averette had 17 and Danasia Witherspoon chipped in 14 points for the Bulldogs.
· In the last meeting in Wingate on Dec. 14, 2016, 
Shea Coker hit the clutch jumper with 4.7 seconds left and No. 11/12 LMU held on to escape Cuddy Arena with the 84-83 double overtime win.
Sydnie Anderson led the way for LMU with a career-high 20 points. 
Megan Pittman had 18 points and 15 rebounds. 
Karsen Sims added in 11 points while 
Emily Griffith scored 10 points.
Wingate was led by Caroline Averette's 22 points. Danasia Witherspoon (17 pts-10 reb) and Marta Miscenko (15 pts-10 reb) each had a double-double and Amber Neely added in 12 points.
