JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- The LMU beach volleyball team won a pair of dual matches from Carson-Newman Saturday afternoon, winning 5-0 and 4-1.

The wins improve LMU to 7-12 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 0-9 after both losses.

Danielle Ged and Hailey Lake went to three sets at the no. 1 flight both times against Kelly Hughes and Summer Coulter, winning 21-15, 15-21, 15-5 in the first match and 16-21, 21-10, 15-12 in the second.

At the no. 2 flight Abby Cash and Rylee Storms defeated Montgomery Sauter and Aryana Fazelnia 21-6, 21-7 and 21-11, 21-12.

Rylee Storms and Erica Whiteaker cruised past Abby Struewing and Micah Depetro in flight 3 21-15, 21-9 and 21-9, 21-5.

The duo of Danielle Stachura and Kai Wesemann coasted to a pair of 21-19, 21-11 and 21-12, 21-10 wins over Lauren Williams and Gabrielle Bailey at flight no. 4.

The no. 5 flight saw C-N pick up their lone win of the day as LMU's Beka Wachob and Tone Gill split with Catherine Cook and Lexy Headley. In the first match LMU caputired the 21-16, 17-21, 15-4 win while in the second match C-N won by 14-21, 21-5, 15-8 scores.

LMU will close out the season next week in the OVC Challenge in Clarksville, TN. They will fave Jacksonville State and Spring Hill on Friday and Austin Peay and Morehead State on Saturday.
