CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The LMU beach volleyball team closed out the 2018 regular season with a 3-2 loss to host Austin Peay and a 5-0 sweep of Morehead State.

Against Austin Peay, three of the matches went to tiebreakers, with the Govs picking up two of them. Chloe Stitt and Kaylee Taff defeated Beka Wachob and Tone Gill 21-8, 15-21, 15-6 at no. 5 while Ashley Slay and Cori Theiss won over Danielle Stachura and Kai Wesemann 21-19, 21-16 at no. 4. At no. 3, Jenna Panning and Haley Turner eked out the 14-21, 21-19, 19-17 win over Rylee Storms and Erica Whiteaker.

LMU won the no. 1 and 2 flights. At no. 1, Abby Cash and Lindsay Nartker won over Ginny Gerig and Cecily Gable 21-13, 21-15 while at no. 2 Hailey Lake and Danielle Ged bested Brooke Moore and Claire Darland 15-21, 21-19, 19-17.

In the final match, LMU swept the Eagles 5-0 as well as in the exhibition match.

In the extra match, Kayla Kidney and Sarah Jones won 21-19, 21-10.

Wachob and Gill then defeated Jordan Jones and Jess Hall 21-19, 21-10 at no. 5, followed by Storms and Whiteaker defeating Alyssa Cecil and Karlee Reynolds at no. 3 21-11, 21-8.

???????Stachura and Wesemann bested Danielle McCarson and Maddie Fella 21-14, 21-19 at no. 4 while at no. 1, Cash and Nartker bested Jessie Wachtman and Liz Allen 21-17, 21-13. Lake and Ged then defeated Chandler Clark and Olivia Lohmeier 21-11, 24-22 to seal the sweep.
