HARROGATE, Tenn. - Coming off of a home loss against Catawba, the Lincoln Memorial University women's basketball team (5-5, 4-5 SAC) will take on UVA Wise (7-1, 7-1) inside the friendly confines of B. Frank "Tex" Turner Arena this Monday, Jan. 25. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Lady Railsplitters took on Catawba at home this past Saturday and put up an excellent fight, but fell to undefeated Catawba by a score of 72-63. Leading scorer
Lauren Flowers continued her excellent play with 19 points,12 rebounds, and four assists, while
Jordan Maney finished with 14 points, three rebounds, and four assists.
Lexi Kiser also finished in double figures as she had 12 points and five rebounds
Versus The Cavaliers
The Lady Railsplitters have a 22-6 all-time record against UVA Wise, including a 14-1 mark at home. LMU has won 17 of the last 20 meetings. Last season saw UVA Wise join the ranks of the South Atlantic Conference, and LMU won both games. With a win, the Lady Railsplitters will move to 3-1 all time in conference contests against UVA Wise.
About UVA Wise
UVA Wise is coached by Jamie Cluesman, who is in her 3rd year as the head coach of the program. Prior to becoming the head coach, Cluesman was an assistant coach at Shepherd University. Coming off a 12-16 (8-14 SAC) season, the team is 7-1 (7-1) so far this season. Five players are in double figures in the scoring column as Nia Vanzant leads the pack with 16 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest. She is followed closely by Kalee Johnson, who averages 14.6 points and a team-leading 9.1 rebounds. Caitlyn Ross stuffs the stat sheet as she averages 14.4 points, 5.9 rebounds. and 6.6 assists per game, and Meg Crawford chips in 14 points and seven rebounds. Hanna Oliver adds 10.6 points per contest.

LMU will stay home in conference play and face No. 23 Carson-Newman on Jan. 27. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
