Harrogate, TN – Lincoln Memorial University Softball has released their 2024 Spring schedule. Play will begin on February 2, 2024 with the Railsplitter Invitational. All home games will be played at the
Dorothy Neely Softball Complex on
campus.
The Railsplitter Invitational will have Ferris State and Purdue-Northwest visiting Harrogate for a double round-robin ending on February 4
th. This will be LMU's first meeting for both teams.
Lee will come in town for a mid-week double header on February 7. LMU leads this series, 7-3, with a 7-6 win in their last meeting.
The Railsplitters will be on the road on February 9-11, for a 7-team tournament at Alabama-Huntsville. There, LMU will face Alabama-Huntsville, Mississippi College, Shorter, Georgia Southwestern, Christian Brothers, and Young-Harris. This will give the Railsplitters a lot of opportunities to test how they match up to some good teams in the southeast.
After another mid-week double header with King on February 14
th, the Railsplitters will host their LMU Invitational bringing in Grand Valley State, Lock Haven, and Ohio Dominican on February 17-18. LMU leads the series with King, 22-12 and is 8-0 versus Ohio Dominican.
Saginaw Valley makes their way to Tennessee for a double header on Friday, February 23
rd, then play in the Abe's Invitational with Clarion and Bloomsburg for the weekend. LMU is 3-0 with Bloomsburg.
The Railsplitters start their South Atlantic Conference schedule at home with Catawba on March 6, for a double header and ends conference play on April 20, at Wingate.
A quick non-conference road trip to Kentucky State (LMU is up 2-0) on April 23 will set LMU up for the SAC championships to be played on April 26-27 and May 5-6.
