Kaitlyn Jones Appointed New Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Lincoln Memorial University

Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Kaitlyn "Kate" Jones as the new Assistant Women's Soccer Coach. With her extensive experience in coaching and passion for player development, Jones will play a crucial role in advancing the women's soccer program at LMU.
 
Jones brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new position. She recently completed her Master of Education in Coaching Education and Athlete Development from Xavier University in Cincinnati. During her graduate studies, she specialized in coaching ethics, sport leadership, and the science of performance and novice athletes.
 
Prior to joining LMU, Jones served as the Director of Player Analysis and Soccer Operations for the Women's Soccer program at Xavier University. In this role, she meticulously tracked and analyzed data from GPS units and SoccerPulse, providing valuable insights for player development. Additionally, Jones demonstrated her commitment to team success by coordinating with opposing team staff, organizing team events, and producing newsletters for program alumni.
 
Jones also has experience as a Head Soccer Coach for Cincinnati United, where she effectively planned and conducted training sessions, oversaw team activities, and conducted player evaluations. Her ability to mentor and motivate players has earned her respect within the soccer community.
 
Furthermore, Jones has a background in journalism and writing, having worked as a sports reporter for WCN - Titan Radio and The Holcad at Westminster College. Her passion for women's soccer extended to her role as a writer for Barça Universal, where she provided analysis and opinion pieces on FC Barcelona Femení.
 
As an athlete herself, Jones played collegiate soccer at Westminster College as a student-athlete in NCAA Division III. She also had the opportunity to showcase her skills as a semi-professional soccer player for the Florida Tropics/WPSL.
 
"First and foremost, I'd like to thank Tasha for giving me the opportunity to work alongside her once again, as well as the LMU community for welcoming me in," stated Jones.  "I'm very excited to begin working with our student-athletes and our staff, and ultimately, continuing to learn from them and from every experience. I'm absolutely buzzing to be a Splitter and can't wait to get started!"
 
Jones's qualifications extend beyond her coaching experience. She is a USSF Licensed Coach and has attended professional development conferences, including the Penn State University Sports Business Conference. Her skills in leadership, communication, and accountability make her an invaluable addition to the LMU coaching staff.
