Harrogate, TN- Lincoln Memorial University's Bente Latenstein has been named SAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Latenstein, a junior from the Netherlands, earned the honor after a strong start to the 2023 season with a record of 4-1-1 to date. Thus far, she has started six games, tallying 25 total saves with a 0.833 save percentage and two clean slates. In her latest win against Newberry, Latenstein tallied five saves on a perfect save percentage to keep the Wolves silent and help her team earn their first South Atlantic Conference victory of the year.

Women's soccer will be back in action on Wednesday against Tusculum University.
