Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial women's basketball team is set for its final road trip of the regular season on Wednesday, traveling to Emory, VA for the final match up of the regular season with the Emory & Henry Lady Wasps. Earlier this season, when the two teams met in Harrogate, the Lady Splitters were able to stave off a fervent comeback effort from the Lady Wasps to secure an 82-72 victory at home. Lincoln Memorial now has an overall record of 17-7, including a 12-6 mark in conference play. Emory & Henry has amassed a 10-16 record with a 5-13 mark in SAC play.
The Lady Splitters are led in scoring by
Lauren Flowers, who averages 16.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. She is followed by
Jordan Maney, who averages 13.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
Alexa Smiddy is the only other player to average double figures, averaging 12.1 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.
Geovana Rios is the team's leading rebounder from the point guard position, and is the best rebounding guard in the South Atlantic Conference. She averages nearly a double-double with 8.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
Tip-off between Lincoln Memorial and Emory & Henry is slated for 7:30 PM on Wednesday.
