Sevierville, TN- Women's golf posted a Top Three team finish at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate this week at Sevierville Golf Club. The Lady Splitters shot a collective +89 through rounds of 307-319-315. LMU finishes third behind only Bowling Green and the host Tennessee Tech. The tournament field included 10 total teams, Lincoln Memorial finishing over four DI programs on the week.
Lauren Martin and
Rachel Mathieson would be the team leaders, the two finishing tied for fifth with a 232 (+19) over the course of the three rounds. Martin also led the tournament field in par four scoring, averaging 4.24 strokes per par four.
Dilyara Bulambayeva also proved to be a consistent piece for the team, finishing 19th overall with the team's low round in the tournament of 74 on day one. The tournament field would consist of 60 golfers, 83.62 being the average score per round for the tournament.Â
LMU will return to the course next week on Monday, March 25th, and Tuesday, March 26th, to compete in the Lander Lady Bearcat Invitational at Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood, SC.Â
